homework

this week i officially started working from home two days a week. so far, it rocks. i get more time with soren in the morning. this means i get up with him at oh, say, 5:15am, then get him some tj's pancakes, make the coffee (or as he says, cockee), read books, play like mad, then watch the wiggles and get him ready for the day. it is the greatest.

honestly, i think the main problem with telecommuting will be to learn where to draw the line. this week i've just been bringing my laptop home every night, and i'm already used to checking my email every 5 seconds even when i'm "off the clock." when it is staring you in the face, it's much harder to walk away from work. when you leave it at the office, it's a piece of cake. you can always tell yourself that you'd LOVE to be working right then, but too bad! you can't - everything is at the office.

we'll see. the main objective here is to spend more time with the bean and reduce a little bit of stress from my life. i've already accomplished both of those in just the first week. so for that, i think it's a success.

oh, and did i mention that i am going to be an aunt?! a legit aunt and an honorary aunt? two babies are coming my way this winter. i have baby fever SO freaking bad i can't stand it. i stare at every baby so much i'm starting to feel like i'm pregnant.
