sick, sick, sick!
have i mentioned how sick i've been this last year? i mean honestly, people. in the last 13.5 months, i guarantee that i have been sick more often than i've been well. and that is a whole lot of days to be feeling shittay.
so the d.c. trip was great... if you count having a raging sinus infection for about 10 of the 14 days a good thing. it was fun to see everyone, and to have jim and soren come visit, but it was absolutely horrible being sick. so sick that susanna and i spent a rainy saturday going from urgent care center to urgent care center, trying to get someone to see me in less than 5 hours.
being back here has been great too... if you count my second bout with food poisoning in the last 4 months another good thing. man, i don't know what it is, but i keep getting some crazy stomach bugs. nice for the diet jump start, but i'd rather just work out and hold off on the girl scout cookies.
other than my short-term incapacitation last week, being home in az has been SO AWESOME. soren has been the happiest little guy the last two weeks. he is walking, running, speaking jibberish, laughing, and throwing fits of frustration like nobody's business. i love it! all i want to do is be home with him. which is good, since i've decided to quit my job.
quit. my. job.
there it is. in black and white. i'm quitting. really, this time. i even have a last day in mind. boss doesn't know yet, so keep it a secret!
