start spreadin' the news...

i am so out of here! well, for this weekend, at least. i am headed to new york one last time with all of my d.c. girlfriends. this week has been so super sucky that i need this trip more than anything.

no news on the job situation except that they've pulled the telecommuting and are hoping to get me a job as a trial attorney somewhere in the valley of the sun (phx, eloy, florence, b.f.e.), and no news on when i can come out there except for now it is sometime in november, and they are pulling the money for jim's lodging and food. basically a 5 1/2 month pregnant lady now has no job and no place to live after october 23rd. if this is what 4 years of govt service gets you, i'd hate to see how they treat the lifers. the best part of it is, they've completely bent over backwards to accommodate the most incompetent person in the entire legal department. they found him a job and they are paying for his move to the west coast. reward the ones who suck. hmmmm... interesting management style. i am so out of here!

we don't really have much planned for our trip to ny. i am just figuring we will probably hang out, shop, drink coffee and hot chocolate, go out, and just chit chat the day away. i am so excited because i am leaving work early with susanna to take the train up there. i have never taken a train in the u.s. so this is a big adventure!
