home again

i'm back. and now a mom. with the most perfect little baby boy in the world.

the last few days have been a bit chaotic, to say the least. we got home from the hospital on saturday afternoon, and now we are just trying to adjust to our new life as a family of three. i know all new parents go through it, but it is really hard. jim has been wonderful, doing all of the chores and shopping, putting things together, doing research, taking care of me, and just being the incredible husband i know and love. i am super hormonal, sleep deprived, and still recovering somewhat from the delivery itself, so i know it doesn't help the situation. but every time i look at soren i forget how hard it all is. i love him so much.

once we've had a little more than a couple of hours of sleep, i'll blog about soren's birthday. it was the most amazing and surreal experience i've ever been through. he was completely worth the extra few days in the oven.
