tadpole need food!
i haven't exactly started getting cravings yet, but i have noticed that i have become (much like my beloved jim and father) food obsessed. i hear something about some type of food or a particular dish, and i can't get my mind off of it. so far the only thing i am obsessed with on a regular basis is any coke product. i have never really been a big soda drinker, so this is something new. i don't really know why, but i don't want anything that 1) isn't caramel colored, 2) doesn't have tablespoons of sugar dripping from it, and 3) isn't made by the coca-cola company. once i have it, all is good in the world.
as far as food goes, this weekend i am obsessed with blueberry pancakes. last night my friend michelle said something about us going for blueberry pancakes this morning at eastern market, and i had to physically stop myself from going to the grocery store late last night to just get a taste of them before bed. i woke up with them on my mind. when we got to eastern market, the line was insane. probably 100 people in line ahead of us for those damn blueberry pancakes. for about 30 min there was real talk about aborting the mission and going for something else, and the whole time i was panicked. i tried to seem cool on the outside, saying that i didn't care what we did, but inside i was having a mini freak out. what was i going to do if i didn't get them? lucky for me, we decided to wait the hour in line and oh, were they worth it! just amazing. i might just have to go back tomorrow.
now i just have to find a place around here that serves good shrimp tempura rolls...
